Congratulations to Little Colorado Medical Center in Winslow, Arizona for receiving a $75,000 grant from the Del E. Webb Foundation! The grant will make possible a new digital mammography unit for cancer screening in the Winslow region.
This proposal, prepared by GoalBusters for Little Colorado Medical Center, creates the Del E. Webb Digital Mammography Unit, which will serve patients who currently have to either travel to Flagstaff or wait for a mobile mammography unit to arrive in Winslow. The challenge of travel typically means that women postpone screenings or have to deal with the added stress of waiting or traveling to receive a diagnosis for a lump. The onsite digital mammography unit will allow Little Colorado Medical Center to provide more frequent screenings and better follow up.
