The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the largest community of fundraising professionals in the world, will honor long-time fundraiser Alice Ferris, CFRE, ACFRE, with its Founders’ Medallion for her extraordinary contributions to the organization and the fundraising profession at its upcoming international conference, AFP ICON 2020, in Baltimore, Md.
The AFP Founders’ Medallion is presented to members who, through their dedication to the principles of ethical and effective fundraising, honor the legacy of AFP’s founders. Alice's decades of humble service to AFP chapters and members have helped foster the development of the profession and the fundraising community throughout their careers. Congratulations Alice! We are so proud of you!

Here is Alice and Jim's 2019 StoryCorps interview. StoryCorps is an oral history project collecting the stories and conversations of everyday people. They bring their mobile recording studio to a city with a partner Public Radio station to record conversations and stories. These are preserved in the Library of Congress. Alice Ferris and I helped host them in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2006 and in Yuma, Arizona in 2010 and 2019.
